My Fashion Journey
Fashion is a way of expressing oneself through clothing and accessories. In this blog, I will be sharing my fashion journey up to the age of 21, from where it began, how it has evolved, and how it has impacted me.
Growing up, fashion was something that I paid little attention to. My parents would dress me in whatever they thought looked nice, and I didn't have much say. When I reached my early teens, I became more interested in fashion. I began experimenting with different styles, trying bold colors and trendy accessories.
During my high school years, I developed a more defined sense of style. I would often mix and match different pieces to create unique outfits. I was always on the lookout for the latest trends and would spend hours browsing fashion magazines and websites for inspiration. Hip-hop artists were also another huge source that I used to gain inspiration. Growing up in Wisconsin, I used online inspiration rather than in person since Milwaukee didn't have the most modern fashion scene.
My fashion sense had evolved even further by the time I reached college. I became more interested in sustainable fashion and started making more conscious choices regarding my wardrobe. I would shop at thrift stores and vintage shops, looking for unique pieces that nobody else had. Shopping online on websites such as Grailed was also huge in me building my style.
As I approached age 21, I developed a style that was uniquely my own. I would mix vintage pieces with modern trends, creating timeless and current looks. Fashion had become a form of self-expression for me, a way to showcase my creativity and individuality.
My fashion journey has been a reflection of my personal growth and evolution. It has taught me the importance of self-expression and conscious choices regarding our clothes. Fashion is not just about looking good, but it is also about feeling good and making a positive impact on the world. I am excited to see how my fashion journey will continue to evolve in the years to come.
